22st Day of the Month of Hida
Waning Crescent Moon

The storm passed in the night and the morning is bright and sunny. A foot of snow on the ground, fresh powder for snow forts, snowball fights, snowmen, ect... The servants busy themselves all morning clearing the snow from the paths. This beauty lasts all day. In the forest there are divets in the snow where steam pockets come up through the ground and melt the snow around it.

Outside the onsen its not only more snow on the ground, but icy conditions on the road makes it unsafe for horses.

Durning the night a warmth floods the onsen grounds, yet the snow does not melt. The sky is clear and starry and the landscape is simply breathtaking.
