Midoriko gasped as the snow hit her in the head.

Yukiko jumped from her arms and ran up to Sozoka yipping loudly.

"Oh I'll get you yet, Yu-chan. You just wait." She wiped the snow off her head and shook it out of her hair. "And you!" She pointed at Sozoka. "I'll get you when you least expect it!" She gave him a mischievous grin. Midoriko walked out from behind the tree and towards Sozoka.

Midoriko laughed. "She's no hunting dog. Believe me." She knelt down beside Yukiko and scratched her behind the ears. "But I do love you girl."

She stood back up and yawned and stretched. "So, Hiruma-san. What do you have going on today? Besides attacking me."

She rolls her eyes and smiles. "No drinking!" Midoriko began pacing. "Hmmm. Show me something here I haven't seen yet!"

Yukiko sat on Sozoka's foot.

He looked down at Yukiko with a bit of surprise, and then grinned, looking back and right into Midoriko's eyes. "Alright. You've been to a lot of places around here?" He looks around and, after a moment, his eyes settle on the black forms in the distance. "Been there already?"

She turns and looks in the direction he's looking. "No. I don't think so." She shakes her head and looks back at Sozoka. "What is that over there?"

Midoriko leaned down and beckoned Yukiko over. The dog happily bounded over to Midoriko and jumped up in her arms. She stood back up and scratched the dog behind her ears.

His grin softened at Midoriko scratching Yukiko, but only slightly. "They're some ruined temples. Two were quite dangerous the last time we went in, but they're also quite interesting." He gives them another look and then turns to Midoriko. "Wanna go see?"

"Would I?!" Her face beamed. "But maybe I should put Trouble back at the bungalow first. Wouldn't want something to happen to her." She kissed Yukiko on the nose and squeezed her tight. Midoriko looked up at Sozoka and smiled. "Mind if I meet you there? Or you can always come with."
