Something I just thought about for you dishonorable types, should it come to it, you could always burn the hunting lodge and frame the Mantis (make it a mistake or accident or something), since only 3 out of 10 people living there aren't little green bugs.

I do not question you, or want to dictate your character to you, but I think it would be wiser to have those 2 as allies.

Especially the Suzume seems meek, and easy to manipulate. Unless its a front, of course.

Hmmm.

1. A Unicorn - a Moto Death Priest! - can hardly be an ally to the Lion. And certainly not this one. I know this player - Ide Jiao - from WC. He's the manipulator, no the one prone to manipulation.

2. A Good policeman - bad policeman tactic is often quite effective. May each of us play his part.

3. I want everyone to believe that I am a midless, arrogant brute, a danger they know.

I think there should be a thread like this to alleviate such ooc concerns. I think all of us should put forward theirs so that we can build a good team ASAP. There're relatively few of us compared to our enemies so we must be very effective. I am still waiting for an IC fisrt-day discussion in our embassy. I may start it but I am still waiting for our head to do the honors.

Will do, after court. BTW Good Cop-Bad cop sounds good, just need to expand on that Idea. Also, I think we should not burn down anything, not trying to shoot anyone down, but that just seems to risky. My idea was more along the lines of setting individual mantis against one another, so that there is no room for them to get anything done, and then make good with Akimiko, and keep her tied up with her Mantis Brethern, that keep struggling...hehehe...And then We start making moves towards a strictly strategic alliance with the scorpion, to finally rise back up, and retake the onsen that is obviously theirs, by right, neh?

More insidious plotting to come.

I think we should play impartial for a while in the Mantis-Scorpion conflict to let both sides pump up a bid for our support and take an anti-Mantis stance when it erupts. Then it will be time for swift violence. In likely turmoil of the coup there will be space to cut down several Mantis without much responsibility.

Umm...a little too bloodlusting huh? I would rather take a more subtle stance, and secretly play one against the other until it erupts, and then walk away without stain on our hands. Let them play it up, and end it. We can still goud them, to ensure their own conflicts, but remember we want to come out of this smelling like roses.

Que? I think you've got that backwards. For Matsu Bushi, yes you've got the ticket. But last time I checked, I'm the closest thing we've got to a Bushi, and the rest are courtier, samurai. That being said, this group of lion have the capability to be very political, something most contingents of Lion cannot pull off. And something that most others would not concider a threat...
