Words Cut Like Steel

With feet that refused to stop, even after the long trip from Tamahagane Inn, little Iroke found himself gliding through the Main House, eyes taking in all the little details, everything exactly as it had been when he left. Breathing deeply, the scent of incense caught his sense and he smiled walking towards the humble shrine to the Fortunes.

Moving aside the shoji screen he bowed low before the maiden he knew to be within, "Pardon, Midoriko-san, I do not wish to disturb. I merely wished to come and see how you are holding up." He smiles his normal innocent smile taking in the decor.

Within the shrine itself, a small figure sits, an effigy of Musubi-no-Kami. All around the red and white of marriage are arranged, the box given to the woman on their last meeting, sitting beside the shrine, open, revealing the incense, brazier, and talismans to honor the Fortune with. All around the room, a shimi-nawa rope marked off the area as sacred, and ofuda scrolls dangled from the ceiling. It seemed that the monk had done what was asked.

As she finishes up one of her prayers, she turns and bows to Iroke.

"Seppun-sama." Midoriko took a deep breath. "I'm... managing." She gives him a polite smile. "A little human interaction is welcome. Yukiko doesn't talk very much."

Yukiko meanders on over to Iroke and sits down at his feet and looks up at him.

"How precious," He seems to melt at the awkward collection of fluff and over sized paws (I haven't exactly seen this breed, but after five months or so of growin I'm figuring they look very similar to other puppies ). Placing a gentle hand upon its head he pets the adorable little bundle.

With a breathy sigh he looks up at her owner, "So, how are things, Midoriko-san? Aside from lack of companionship, how are you feeling?"

Midoriko sighs. "I'm alright I guess. This is really hard. Alot harder than I thought it'd be. But I feel... hmmm... what's the word... good? I don't know."

She sits down on an empty cushion. "Please, Seppun-sama. Have a seat." She then points to another empty cushion over there somewhere.

"When the time comes the Fortune's will guide you. For now, I'm quite impressed. You have remained devoutly chased since you entered into prayer." Raising his hands he speaks a brief blessing in a strange language, though it seems to resonate with the young Crab maiden. "May the Fortune's bless you and grace you with a prosperous family."

He readjusts himself upon his sitting cushion and takes up a praying mudra, facing the shrine of Musubi-no-kami. "Now, tell me Midoriko-san, what are the subjects which you have already discussed with our grand lords and ladies of the Celestial Court?"
